Have your tech order some Conn/Selmer SU30117 springs or the generic Allied A383 springs. If those don't work for you... you might need some other type of piston work.

That shows up as a slide crook, Dan. Can you check the number? I cannot find that large of a spring and I need eight of them! I wish they made is easier to order stuff. It is like you need Divine Intervention to locate certain parts...

So many B.and I.nstrument R.epair T.echnicians incorrectly stick Conn sousaphone springs into other brands of sousaphones (and tubas), that I end up with a huge box of used Conn sousaphone springs, tossing in the box - at least - those that weren't stretched out four inches long by some young scholars who were attempting to overcome lime deposits.
