For amphibious playing, no doubt.

I bet you could really whale on such a tuba...

But be sure the materials hold up well in salt water.

Once i took my tuba mouthpiece and stuck it in the back half of a trombone and blew.

From that i inferred i could stick the corresponding trombone slide into my tuba receiver.

And play, maybe?

Would that be a bad idea?

How much would it lower the pitch?

And do i stand a chance of hitting those low notes with a trombone mouthpiece?

(If i actually try this, i'll report back how bad an idea it actually was...)

The prop bet opportunities would be endless...

How far over will the performance run??

Or start on time??

This will balance budgets and help the children and old people more than the sales tax, the lottery, selling booze on Sunday, river boats, and medical marijuana combined!!

Could you just IMAGINE dozens of millions of people completely knowing the scores to all the major orchestral literature, and even of many of the more obscure works, along with routine 7-figure salaries for principals and routine 6-figure salaries for section players...!?!?! Heck, some of the smaller cities' orchestras' musicians could - theoretically - end up being paid the highest salaries.

Shades of Peter Schickele and the Beethoven’s 5th telecast... :D

Tuba-ganning.

How many bundled up kids can fit on your 6/4 recording bass?

Sorry... This image has no redeeming aspect.

But if it were applied to cases, it'd be like that one scene from the James Bond movie with the cellist.

Following that line of thought, are there any tubas with 00 model numbers?

That is actually am intriguing product...

If it required no effort on my part i would try it and see if changed anything for me.

Would it mount cleanly on a sousaphone bit?

Bad idea poll ( i might take the time learning how to do polls... if i didn't already know it for a bad idea....)

Which such mouth piece would you buy?

Little Boy?

Fat Man?

Chernobyl?

3 Mile Island?

Did i miss any?

I can't decide... Some how Fat Man is too easy an option to settle on. Does not challange me enough.
