Check out things in the MIDI world. There are both turntables and tape decks (both cassette and reel to reel) that will let you change the pitch but you won't be able to change the key except to raise or lower by an octave by doubling or halving the tape speed.
Good luck, Phil

Sibelius and Finale will work too if you can scan, play, transfer midi files or otherwise enter the material. What exactly are you trying to do?

you can change tempo in winamp if you have the appropriate plugin and I know that the most recent windows media player lets you do that as well, if its the right file type. As far as pitch is concerned, I am pretty sure you can get a plugin for winamp for that too.

I use a MIDI player called WinGroove from Japan. It allows adjusting/muting voices, changing tempi and transposing by up to an octave in either direction; it also implements reverb and chorusing as well as conversion to WAV. It's shareware. I'm sure it can't be the only one with these capabilities--just what I have on my system.

You don't specify whether you are looking for a hardware or software solution.

I used a plugin for WinAmp called Pace Maker which allowed you to adjust tempo and pitch. It was free and worked pretty well.

I was looking for audio software.

Thank you all!

P.S.
I did'nt forget the feedback on 582.

But I was trying an Amati C euphinum. That's why I wanted to transpose. I also have here an F mellophone. Strange instrument... Strange intonation...

Thank you all for the tips.

Not audio software, but TASCAM makes audio/CD players that have tempo and pitch control. An electric guitarist co-worker loves his. Search for TASCAM model CDGT1MKII or CDBT1MKII.

If you want to transpose the easiest way is to use Sibelius, Finale or comparable software. There are some lite versions that also will do the job. What you can do is scan the part into the compputer and the software will transpose the part for you. Good Luck, Phil
