I tooted on this model when it was new @ WWBW. FUN tuba :tuba:
It was very easy to play and had a lot of 'zip'. Skinnier than most typical 4/4 BBb tubas, but certainly bigger than any other 3/4 tuba I've seen (AKA Yamaha 621 series, King 1140, etc). I'd call the Mira 182 a "7/8" tuba; roughly the same size as the Olds 0-99, but with a much larger valve-bore.
I think Miraphone also made the piston version; Mira 282?
