PT6 and PT10 questions

Post by Tubadork »

hi,
I'm trying to get gig bags made for my tubas and they are currently in transit. So:
1. Can anyone tell me in inches how long the PT6 and PT10 tubas are.
2. In the USA these 2 tubas go just by their PT designations, but I guess they also have a numerical nomenclature and the gig bag maker wants to know what those are.
I tried to get this info from Custom, but I couldn't get this info, so if I could get some help from you guys (and girls) that would rock.
Thanks in advance,
Bill Pritchard

Hanging out in Nagwon music mart are we? Your PT-6 is 40 inches (102 cm) long and the PT-10 is 38 inches (97 cm) long. Let me know how much they are charging over there?

Looking at the Cronkhite bag specs on the tuba page at Steve Ferguson's website, http://www.steveferguson.net/

B&S PT6 19 x 41
B&S PT10, PT15, PT16, 5100 16.5 x 37.25

As for the model numbers, http://www.vogtlaendische-musik.de/tuba/ says:

3098 (PT - 6)
CC-Tuba 5/4 â€
