I saw Hamilton today.

I thought it was okay, but hard to follow. I honestly couldn't tell you very much about the plot or what happened. I may have dozed off by the end.

Fun to watch, and some incredibly talented singers and dancers.

The entire show is sung (and mostly rapped), so it is entertaining to listen to... but so many words so quickly, and rapped, and some acoustical problems in the theater... made it hard to follow.

If it makes sense, it sounded a lot more like "voice as an instrument" than "voice as words", sort of like opera in another language.

It wasn't impossible to follow, but it was kind d of tough. If I listen to the CD a few times, I'll get it.

Price... yeah, people went crazy for this. We thought of buying 2 sets and selling one, but for whatever reason didn't. We got in on the regular sale and paid face value, like $130 each, before fees.

It was fun, and glad I saw it to know what it was all about... I'm so woke.

Apparently, just mentioning the black SUVs is enough to get noticed again. (I should have been wearing my tinfoil hat.) I found myself in a swarm of them yesterday morning: a Hyundai Tucson, a Toyota Rav4, an Acura MDX, a couple others I was not able to identify, (but no Tahoes, Yukons or Navigators) and a black mini-van of some sort. Then on the way home, two lanes over from me, there was a Cadillac Escalade with all the emblems blacked out, but with bright shiny chrome wheels. Lower level SUVs must mean I am a lower level priority?

' don't know if we've ever had a black car before, but (Mrs.) bloke is now driving a black SUV-ish car...a "toaster"...a Honda Element (rare manual shift, but with cruise).

We removed the rear seats, so that it now sort of resembles a mini-work-van inside. For the "conspirators", I suppose (??) there is plenty of room back there for several crates of arms...

Welcome to the Element world. We call ours "the Fugly", for good reason. Incredibly useful musician's conveyance, it can fit all of my wind instruments including the two tubas without breaking a sweat for those rare gigs where I'm asked to just show up, we won't know what we'll need until everyone's here.

We have two Elements, ours and the kid's, both with 6-speed manual shift. ("WHAT??!?", he exclaims.) That's right, I've modified the M/T in both to fit an additional higher ratio. It nets 1.5-2 mpg more than 5th when you're mostly driving on the flat, as we do in Midwest farm country. The stock 5-speed transmission case is shared with the Acura TSX, with a spacer where the TSX's 6th gear belongs. Easy swap, provided you ignore the beastly effort to get the trans in and out.

The kid's 2003 is just about to hit 200K, on the original clutch. The rest of the car has been equally reliable; when not abused they last bloomin' forever. You did good.

There is nothing here to attract them here, but - typically - as behind the place I rent to my son - they cause epic flooding and turn "usable low areas" into wasteland.

When you have your own swamp you can add a few gators to clean up the beavers.
