Attention Indiana Students...

Post by kontrabass »

Those of you studying with Mr. P, I will be joining your ranks this fall and I need a place to live. If any of you know of someone looking for a roommate - preferably a brass player at IU, or at least a musician - I would be most appreciative if you would e-mail me: kontrabass64@hotmail.com.
Thanks,
Rob Teehan

You could always put up a teepee somewhere on the back 40 of the Tuba Ranch! Hasn't been done in 40 years but the place is still there. Aw, tuba folklore.

Tell us more, Brian. I hadn't heard of this part of our tuba heritage.

Brian, I love that story, especially the part about disrupting the golf tournament. That is good stuff.

Golf?? At the TubaRanch??? There are to many horse pies there but there are still the bricks from the teepee's firepit.

Yeah, but the other time the teepee made it's appearance was on a founders day golf tournament. The "Chief's" retelling of that story is the funniest thing I have ever heard.

Brian, next time you come to Vegas I will tell you that story and a couple others that have been passed on to me. You will pee your pants. Remember, there was alot going on there before Harvey. These are great stories, but they have to be passed along in an oral tradition way, which means 1/4 pound hot dogs and copious amounts of malt based adult beverages.
