Just got a Gard bag for my new Cerveny 6/4 CC horn. Seems solid and has extra padding inside for protection of the sensitive areas (bow, rotary valve linkages). Shoulder straps might be a bit narrow, but so far I'm a happy customer. I agree. Gig bags are for carrying, not for protection, even though the Gard bags have some additional padding. I used the hard case for transport the first couple of months, and dragging the (very) big box in and out of cars and playing venues was a hassle. Hi Brett, the flutes are already complaining about excessive vibrations from the tuba group, so the sound is big and powerful. After some initial intonation issues the tuba now plays great! I have bought myself a stand and a drummers throne, because this instrument is a bit too big to be placed in the lap.bort wrote:Hey Ole, cool tuba! It contains the drum throne, music stand, tuba stand, one music folder for each band I play in, and a toiletry bag with oils and lubes, pliers and a screwdriver for adjusting the rotary valve linkages, and a little pouch with the tuner and pens and pencils.
