Re: Simple hymns and piano acc
Could you read the melody line in treble clef while the pianist plays the hymn from the book, adding some simple embellishments (arpeggiating chords, etc.)?

I can read brass band treble clef but hymnal treble is different right C vs Bb right or visa versa

Re: Simple hymns and piano acc
I looked at tubapeter.com and he did not have hymns. Sorry, that would have been a quick fix.

There's no transposing if you know the names of the notes in treble clef (lines from the bottom: EGBDF, space spells FACE). Just play the note you see. Handy skill to have. First space F becomes your "middle" F (the F just under the bass clef staff).

That would be a quick fix but I don’t possess that skill and it’s my own mom to so that makes it harder

I don't know if this would work, but it is free and downloadable. Scroll down and you will see options. If you choose the bass clef in C download, you will get each hymn as a 4 part chorale scored in bass clef. Your pianist could raise the right hand by an octave, and you could play the melody line as written.

Good luck with the performance, and I am sorry for your loss

Another option I thought of was 8notes.com. They have lots of simple stuff available too. If you can read trombone/ baritone music down an octave, there's probably more arranged for that. Good luck!
