My evening suit/ tuxedo was made in the 1940s as was my black bow tie. It took me 3 hours to tie the bow tie when I first wore it!

I only bought the tux 2 years ago though, so it may not count.

I bought my first tux right before leaving for college, and I still have/use the jacket from that. So...17 years, if my mental math is correct.

If you must know, I've been using the same black bow tie since 1994.

But that's nothing, really. I have a stash of sax reeds from the early 1980s.

I also have a pair of Florsheim Imperials that I bought in 1980. They made high quality shoes back then.

My first tux was given to me free in 1955 by my boss. It fit very well, but was a little dated in terms of style. He bought it in 1919 when he got his PhD from University of Wisconsin.

I bought my tux right before I graduated high school in 1999. I'm still wearing it 20 years later.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

As Milt Hinton said, "I got SHOES older than you guys!"
My father bought me a tuxedo in the fall of my freshman year in college, almost 59 years ago. I still use it 3 to 5 times each year.
(Just the jacket, with ordinary black pants.) It might not pass a careful inspection, but I sit in the back of the band or orchestra with a tuba on my lap, an nobody has ever complained.

My Tux Jacket was my dad's, made in the early 70's based on what he told me. Rarely wear it these days, as with Brass Band playing we tend to wear vests or polo shorts.

For gigs in winterly cold churches I love to wear my granddad's wedding suit. It was taylor-made for his wedding in April 1934 using a high quality wool fabric, really warm. And for modern standards it would bio-labelled, with wool and cotton lining. He wore it as his best suit only on three or four other family events until WW2, and then he got missed in Russia. My grandma kept it mothballed until her death and it is still in like-new condition. So perfect for Christmas...
