John Williams "Music for Brass"
Does anyone know where to find the "Music For Brass" piece by John Williams that is on the National Brass Ensemble CD? I have looked at Hickeys and Sheet Music Plus with no luck.

It was written for the National Brass Ensemble and I'm not sure that it's ever been published and made available for sale.
JoAnn Kane Music Service does all of the prep work on John Williams' materials and I know for a fact they did "Music for Brass." My suggestion is to call them and ask if it is available and where, possibly from them. It is possible that it was never actually 'published' but they may have retained it and may be able to make it available on a rental basis. I do not know for sure, you'll have to call to ask.
Hal Leonard publishes most John Williams compositions, though they don't list that piece in their current catalog which means that it is unlikely to show up at the major online sheet music retailers.

Thanks. Renting sounds expensive. But I will ask.

A few years ago, my MD ask me if there was a work featuring tuba that I would like to perform with the orchestra. I told him The Reivers by John Williams would be a lot of fun and he agreed. He contacted the right folks and found that the charge for renting the music was $0. But, we also had to hire John Williams to conduct it. Never mind.

I doubt if Mr. Williams wants to come to South Carolina to conduct a semi pro brass choir that will be lucky to have an audience of 50. But he will be welcome if he does.
