Neat looking old 186! I see the bag has "Army Band" (or the like) printed on it. Was it an auction pick up?

It wasn't purchased from an auction by me but that's certainly a possibility.
The horn is 55 years old, has obviously been completely overhauled and given a satin silver finish at some time in the distant past and was played quite a bit since then.

Bloke, many years ago you posted somewhere describing a horn in hopes of locating it. Your description matched this horn and I might have sent you a message saying as much.
