Wessex Piston Tuba Finger Buttons

Post by IOS »

Has anyone found a suitable (e.g., mother of pearl) replacement for the crappy engraved metal finger buttons found on Wessex piston tubas? The Wessex tubas use a 6 mm diameter finger button but I have only been able to find the standard 4 mm replacement buttons.

Wessex have alternative buttons and if you contact us direct, we will send a set with pearls complimentary.

FWIW Most people prefer the engraved valve buttons - nice and tactile under the finger!

Jonathan sent me a set of the larger, flat, engraved buttons for the Prokofiev (fantastic tuba) and I much prefer them! You should take him up on the offer! Merry Christmas guys!
