I don't think they use C83600 85 - 5 - 5 - 5 "Red Brass" in any instruments currently. But there are other "red brass" alloys.
These are the usual alloys I've seen, and what foundries actually call them:
Yellow Brass - Cartridge Brass - C26000 - 70 - 30 copper to zinc
Gold Brass - Low Brass - C24000 - Around 80 - 20 Copper to Zinc
Rose Brass or Gold Brass - Red Brass - C23000 - Nominally 85 - 15 Copper to Zinc
Red Brass - Commercial Bronze C22000 - Nominally 90 - 10 Copper to Zinc
None of the current custom trombone makers use 80-20 brass, at least that I know of. I had heard that Bach used it on their bells, but some people have said that isn't true. I also have heard various stories about "bronze" being used in trombones, but no one is sure if that's just "commercial bronze" or a true bronze.
