Where to buy a Laskey 30B Euro Shank Mouthpiece?

Post by sidenius »

Laskey mouthpieces seems to be lost in space.
Can't find a 30B anywhere and I certainly did my googling.
Does anybody know where to buy?

Scott Laskey died in the summer of 2018. His family eventually sold the business to the parent company of Eastman. I have not seen new Laskey mouthpieces advertised since that time.

I think your best bet is to post here that you want one, just as you've done. My guess is that one will eventually turn up.

I'm quite excited to see the progress they are making. He made a great line of mouthpieces for many instruments, and had learned under the master Renold Schilke. I have a friend who played with Scott Laskey's son, a very accomplished horn player.

I'm excited to have an option to pick up some of the mouthpieces I wasn't able to, as Scott's illness pretty much shut down operations for a while prior to his passing. I currently have three trombone pieces, two 59MDs and one 85MD.

Funny, I have two of the same pieces; 85MD for bass trombone and 59MD for euph. They just work for me.
They are great pieces! They have a bit more "meat" in the sound than my Hammond mouthpieces. I wanted to pick up a 59D for 2nd and Euphonium, and a 50C for alto/lead. But sadly, it wasn't to be.
