Does anyone have the BBb tuba part to it? I’m playing it and we only have a c bass part and it’s completely different from the score. If I can’t find it I’ll try contacting De Meij. Thank you

Yeah, you wouldn't like the Bb tuba part. Transposed like a trumpet part but notated in the bass clef. Very weird.

Down an octave through the entire piece should sound correct with the ensemble, regardless of what the score shows.

I guess the original poster´s concern may rather be that the "C-Bass" part may be assigned to string bass and in fact be different to Tuba parts in excess of choosing a different octave to write it down.
Many composers are lazy, unaware, or simply not talented at orchestration.
Those composers might just write unisono parts for string and brass basses, AT ALL TIMES.

To my experience, DeMeij does not fit in any of these categories.

The part literally says “sempre 8vb” in at least two places. They just do things differently in Scandinavia.

I've performed the full symphony once and the first movement a couple other times. The Bb part is actually different than the C part (and not just because it's in transposed Bb bass clef). Why it was done that way is anyone's guess.
