Looking for Private Teachers Around Missouri

Post by That1TubaGuy »

Hi! I'm a tuba player based out of Waynesville, Missouri looking for private teachers. I am willing to go the distance for lessons since I know Waynesville is basically the middle of nowhere. I made a post about this in Facebook's Tuba/Euphonium page, but I only got a few responses.

A couple of old Army buddies of mine are stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. Bill Knight and John Addington are fine tuba players. I served with Bill twice and have known John for years being in the Army band scene. They probably wouldn't charge too much. After that, you're looking at a decent hour to two drive to go see anyone. I was stationed at the 399th before Bill and it's quite remote.

Oh my  , we were stationed in Atlanta when you were just born. Good for you.

Me and a buddy in the band drove to see Mike Sanders in St. Louis on our days off.

He should give you a good rate on lessons, then.

Missouri S&T U @ Rolla does have a music department so the students can fulfill their liberal arts requirements. I would check there. @ 30-40 minute drive.
