In my real life, I'm a family practice doc who is getting overwhelmed with patients calling worried about COVID 19. I was also supposed to go see the SF symphony perform the Firebird this upcoming weekend but the cancelled the concert. I was pondering about a tuba player with COVID blowing the virus all over the concert hall (who even knows right now if that's possible - most recommendations are saying staying 6 feet apart reduces risk and you'd have to blow the viral particles through 12-18 feet of tubing).
Anyhow, with a little handiwork, I created my own new COVID mask that I could use while playing....

(and yes, this is not to be taken seriously! gotta try and have a bit of fun with all of the chaos going on...)

Excellent! Especially as copper is an effective anti-viral, so the virus is dead even if you could blow it completely through to the bell of a tuba!

Make a saxophone model, and you're in business. I don't expect brass players spray much, particularly tuba since so much of your mouth is inside, but the single reed woodwinds are another story.
