I made an earlier post asking about the John Packer line of instruments, and I found that I wasn't completely sold on it. But I was looking for some other options and found the Wessex brand. I'm simply looking for anyone who has played any of the instruments I'll link below, keep in mind that I don't have a lot of money to spend on a $10,000+ horn right now.
Here are the horns:

I'm still in high school so in my opinion these would be good for now, until I get into college. I would recommend watching Chris Olka's video about Wessex Tuba's.
Happy playing!

All that I've played of the Chinese-made instruments imported by attentive U.S. or U.K.-based importers are decent, competent instruments. That
at least includes Packer, Mack Brass (including ZO or whatever it's called), Wessex, Eastman, Big Mouth Brass, and Dillon's house brand. But it's an entirely different question as to whether any of these are the right instrument
for you. In my experience, there's only one way to know. I would find a way to get to one of the tuba conferences so that you can play as many of these as possible.
Wessex is not the only brand about which Chris Olka has done reviews.
More important that any opinion here, however, is guidance from your teacher.
