Canadian National Brass Project-Release Today

Post by Sasha Johnson »

In these difficult times, creating and sharing music with the world seems especially relevant. With this in mind, please help us celebrate the release today of Constellations, the new album of the Canadian National Brass Project.

Thanks for listening. Stay safe and healthy.

Hello,

Over the past few days in isolation I’ve been posting daily YouTube tracks from our CD to our Facebook page. Seemed appropriate to post them here as well.

Please enjoy our version of Sensemaya.

Best,
Sasha

Nice job!
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

It took a while to find the musicians on the National Brass Project. Here's a link to the line up.

Thanks for this but the information you provided is for the first album this group produced. The second album I believe had a slightly different list of personal. As a Canadian tuba player I know that there might have been another tuba player other than nick Atkinson who recently retired from the national arts centre orchestra.I think Tom Mcaslin of the Calgary philharmonic might be playing on the second album.I am still trying to find the list of personal for the second album this group did.Lots of spare times on my hands at the moment.

Here are links to our arrangements of The Planets, Jupiter and Mars:

Thanks for your comments on our list of personnel. The tubas on this new album are myself and Tom McCaslin, principal tuba of the Calgary Philharmonic. Most of the personnel is listed on our website at http://www.canadiannationalbrassproject.com" target="_blank but there are some updates to make. I'll try to make those changes in the coming days.

Best,
Sasha
