The local university.....University of New Hampshire has a tromboen teacher that also teaches tuba I believe even though its not his main instrument, so maybe i will give him a call. Also I discovered that a music store nearby also gives lessons and they have a tube teacher named Brian McAndrew. Has anyone here worked with him or know him?

I can recommend Mike Milnarik extremely highly. He teaches in eastern Massachusetts and also in Maine. His range is from classical to jazz, and he's a fabulous player.
One of his greatest qualities is his ability to perceive exactly what a player needs to do to take the next step in his/her playing, and to help the player take that next step. I have seen him apply this skill to beginners and to very advanced players. I can also say it has been a pleasure taking lessons from him.
You can go to http://www.tubastudio.com for his contact information.
Best of luck in finding a good match between you and a teacher.
