FS/FT: Miraphone 188 w/ Cronkhite bag **SOLD**

Post by CC »

**SOLD**

Hi everyone,
I have an excellent Miraphone 188 CC tuba in great condition. It's just a few years old with just a couple small dings. Intonation is excellent, fabulous low range, very colorful sound and great response overall. The lacquer finish is 100%. Includes a black cordura Cronkite bag, also in great shape.

$7500 + shipping in the CONUS (local pick up preferred and possibly willing to drive to meet a buyer)
I’m open to a trade for a quality cimbasso, BBb tuba, Willson/Hirsbrunner/Yamaha euphonium, or 3/4 CC tuba.

Horn is located in Nashville, TN

What are your thoughts on that 5th valve linkage? Ive seen one or two others like the before, but never really understood the advantage or reason for being angled like that.

I think the thought is that the added distance from the fulcrum increases the speed slightly. It works quite well.
