I don't suppose there's a chance in hell that one of you fine folks fairly close to the Springfield, MO area happens to have an MTS 1207V case that I could do a VERY quick check on to see how it would fit my horn, is there? According to the dimensions, and an email conversation with MTS, it's *SUPPOSED TO* fit my horn, but I'd really like to see HOW WELL it fits my horn before I buy one.
Or, on a related note -- do any of you currently use another brand/model of hard case for a BMB J-445LQ F tuba (with the 18" bell)? Can you comment on the fit? (I only specified the MTS 1207V case because it's the one that has been mentioned to me most frequently when I've inquired about hard cases for my horn.)
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Ryan, I can't help you specifically with what you are asking, but you are more than welcome to try out my gig bag. It is a Tuba Exchange gig bag, probably made for a St. Pete, so it is a little shorter than something that would fit a stock Miraphone 186 or similar, as My "Bessophone" is a couple of inches shorter, with a lengthened main tuning slide. PM me for my address, and if you'd like, we can arrange for you to come over for a day, bring your low brass, and get all my low brass out and have a session. I think two people in a 3,000 sq ft basement, half living quarters, half "warehouse" quarters, qualifies as "social distancing."
