Very short video, bass trombone

Post by Ace »

Check out this short video of Blair Bollinger, premier bass trombonist. Listen to him suck in tons of air and play at around 1:00. How would you like him as your side-partner in some heavy weight brass passages? I also have one of his CD's wherein he plays some songs very tastefully and softly when appropriate. I wonder if he ever plays tubas.

The “Four of a Kind” album is one to have as well.

Nice sound.

A little corny to play a video in front of a signed headshot of yourself though... trombone players... :)

I once owned a Holton TR-181 that had the screw bell. I think Bob Rusk was a prior owner. Flat "bassoon" case and I believe the collar was the same used for French horn screw bells.

Ditto on the Four of a Kind CD.
