The valve I selected is the one that sees the most use (as a CC tuba owner) and as a result dries out a wee bit quicker.

That being said, both valve sets I have now are excellent.

All filthy, dirty and unoiled valve stick. None of the other do, they work just fine.

1st. The one most often affected by torquing from poorly-fit leadpipes. You'd be surprised how many horns I've fixed just by addressing this.

For me, it's always 3. Maybe it's just how I play, or maybe I just get lazy and don't oil that valve enough.

If you have a straight-in leadpipe, I would expect the first valve would need cleaned the most often and, thus, be the first one to stick. Curly-cue leadpipes and/or fourth-valve-first-in-the-airstream horns would hang up differently, if this theory is correct...
