Just had a baby and it is time to thin out the herd (possibly selling a Besson 983 E-flat and Yamaha 842 Euphonium next in case anyone might be interested).
This is an excellent example of the 4198 with a huge sound, great response, and projection. A few modifications have been made: floated leadpipe and lacquer stripped from inside the bell and bow. A versatile instrument that has been played professionally with several orchestras and chamber groups. The instrument is located in Lexington, KY.
Asking $8,500 and would prefer not to ship.
