FS: VMI/B&S Musica BBb Tuba - nice!

Here is a "Musica" tuba made by VMI (B&S) in very good condition. This model does not correspond with a known B&S model, like many B&S stencils do. But you can see it has many B&S features that you may recognize. This is a 4/4 tuba, very comparable to a Mirafone 186 in physical size and sound output. Height is 42 2/3", bell is 16 1/2", and the upper bow is 27 2/3" in height (i.e., the amount of bell above the upper bow is 15". I refer to this as the "over-bell" when designing and making gig bags.) The photos will show a dent or two that have since been taken out. You can still see evidence of a previously rolled out crinkle on the bell flare. This tuba plays beautifully. And is especially beautiful sounding and I wish I needed it! Valves and slides all work very well. Gig-ready (ha-ha-ha!) right out of the box. I would love to keep this horn but extra tubas take up space that I need for other things.

That would be a good way to describe it, bort! I think it is a "no-brainer," also...

Also, I just realized that this horn will fit (95% sure) into the plain-Jane, Tolex-covered plywood case that is hogging up room in my garage. I am dying to see this case go away. It will be FREE with any tuba purchase. Some restriction apply. May not be available in all states. Limit one per household.
