I once knew a woman who spoke like that--pure stream of (un)consciousness.

At the Exploratorium in San Francisco, there's a do-it-yourself experiment that feeds your voice back to you delayed by various intervals. Most folks break down and are completely silent at about a quarter-second delay.

This gal just kept right on talking....

Bloke - I think you probably already know this, but this is a form of control.

In any sales field control is very important in order to have your customer understand what is going on attached to what they want to purchase. The minute they have control, you might have all the expertise inthe world, everything that you have to say means nothing to them.

I sell cars part time and I get customers like this sometimes. Sometimes I make a sale sometimes I don't. These are the same people that are all pissed off when the fine print comes and bites them in the ***. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it because I can't imagine it's a good idea to give highschool marching band students unplated instruments.

Besides... he obviously knows way more than you about restoring tubas :wink:
