Bill Bell recordings?

Post by 2ba4t »

How can I hear the recording of Bill Bell playing the VW concerto? Also any others besides the 1957 Crest Bill Bell and his Tuba.

Many thanks but that was the Crest recording. It was the Vaughan Williams I was hoping for. I believe it exists.

This is no help to the thread, but if you can get your hands on it (I no longer have it myself), the Bill Bell recording of the VW concerto is well worth listening to. Definitely not a "modern" performance, but a unique, and more humorous, interpretation that's worth the time to anyone who studies various interpretations of the work.
