MW 2155R for Sale

Post by Bryson C. Harding »

Hello all,

I have decided to put my MW 2155R up for sale. This is a fantastic horn with a big, dark sound that has served me well throughout my undergrad and Masters. The main reason I'm selling it is that I wanted to transition to a piston horn as that is what I have for my F and I just like the feel of them better. The horn is currently located in Charlotte, NC, and comes with a gray Cronkhite gig bag.

To my knowledge, this model was never mass-produced and I believe this horn was one of the first in its line as the serial number is CF-101. Like all prototype lines, each horn can be vastly different than its counterparts, but I will say that every note can be played in tune with a nice, full sound. I have used it for large ensembles as well as chamber groups and solo work.

I am asking for $9000, OBO, and here is a link that has pictures of the horn and bag.
