Hi Everyone! I’m selling my dearly beloved Conn/Walters CC tuba that has helped me through most of my undergraduate degree!

I wish I knew more about how these horns were manufactured, but what I do know is that these were handmade by Matt Walters at Dillon Music in the early half of the 2000’s. This one being a 2003 vintage.

I am the third owner of this horn, behind an Arizona native, and a member of the navy fleet bands.

This horn has a very omnipresent dark sound with above average intonation for the handmade CC tubas, if you’ve ever played one of Matt’s horns, you definitely know what is being offered.

I‘be had others tell me it was a prototype for the Eastman 632, but it is much bigger than the 632. Would definitely classify this horn as a 5/4 instrument.

This tuba has recently been restored by Lowell Taylor at Taylor’s tubas in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The only reason I’m even considering selling this horn is because I’m going to a different sound in one of the 6/4 York copies.

Comes with a Well-loved Altieri Bag that was custom made for this horn, a Dillon AGR, and a large pepperoni pizza.

4000 FIRM located in Flagstaff, Arizona. Pick-up available and willing to drive a considerable distance for a SERIOUS buyer.

Will only consider safe forms of payment I.e bank transfer for shipping, or if in person Cash, Zelle or a certified check.(unfortunately I do not consider PayPal a safe form of payment)

Will consider shipping only if buyer pays for both the shipping and packing expenses(around 600$ needs very oversized crate to accommodate 22” bell) and accepts any and all responsibility once it leaves my possession.

This is an exceedingly rare instrument at an exceptional price, I paid much more for this instrument than the price listed.
