4 Large 6/4 Contrabass Mouthpieces

Post by Sam Gnagey »

I am offering for sale these 4 large and somewhat rare mouthpieces, left to right:

1. Curry Precision 132G, extremly deep bowl shaped cup, insertion marks. near mint

2. Holton Revelation 52, very deep funnel shape, probably for the Holton York style 6/4 345 tuba, plating wear in a line around high point of rim, very good condition for age, should be easy and inexpensive to have replated.

3. Marcinkiewicz H1, largest of the Helleberg style of this maker, rim shows some minor scratches, very good playable condition

4. Rudolf Meinl RM1, deep funnel shaped cup, likely made for his 6/4 size tubas, 2 very small nicks in rim, Excellent condition

Your choice of any of these for $85 including shipping to USA addresses. All shanks are round, No returns accepted. I will be posting some more later. Please contact me if you're looking for something in particular. PM or email me: tubanurse(at)yahoo.com
Check out my 6/4 Martin 6/4- 2.0 build that I will be posting for sale soon.

Doesn’t fit, or doesn’t match up well with the 345?

Shank is too small for the 345 receiver.
