Who Owns a British F Tuba?

Post by tylerferris1213 »

I recently bought a Wessex British F and I'm in love! I just wanted to see who else out there also has one so we can talk about them. I know Brendan Ige owns a Wessex and Tucker Jolly owns an original British F, but who else is out there?

I heard a rumor that Gretchen Renshaw James’s father owned the original British F that the Vaughan Williams was performed on. No clue if that is true or not though.

Dylan, I see in your signature that you also own a Yorkbrunner. Let me know if you ever think about parting with that haha.

I think my Yorkbrunner would be the last tuba to go. It’s a truly special instrument. It was one of the last batch of handmade horns, and I was told that it was used to compare and contrast machine elements when they were first starting to build some parts of the Yorkbrunner with the machines in the factory. It was also given some very special upgrades by Robb Stewart in Los Angeles that make it play better in tune than most.

Anyways, I need to get rid of ten or eleven tubas before I’d consider selling the big one!

Thanks for asking!

There’s currently an HB50 for sale on the items for sale page!

Quite a bit of money but if you’re that interested…
