Selling my Big Mouth Brass F tuba. This is a prototype of this horn and is no longer in production to my knowledge.

Due to some design flaws, two things on this instrument broke a while ago and have since been repaired:
1. The pull slide on the 3rd valve slide became unsoldered from the slide, simply from riding around in the gig bag. It has since been replaced by just a ring with a metal plate, to avoid doing the same thing in the future.
2. The thumb ring was very flimsy and broke when I lent this to a student many years ago. It has since been replaced by a Miraphone thumb ring which is considerably more robust.
Normal wear and tear otherwise, but freshly cleaned and repaired.

This horn plays very well, has a big sound and a nimble high register. I’ve simply recently moved to Eb and no longer need it. This is a perfect starter F tuba, affordable and can hang in solo and quintet playing. Comes with the original black gig bag.

Would love to sell to someone in the Austin/Central Texas area area to avoid shipping of any kind, but will entertain other offers. Buyer will pay shipping if that's necessary.
