Hello,
I have a smallish 7th grader who is picking out bass lines off the radio on the tuba. He hasn't been playing it for more than a year and a half, maybe. Very gifted, not a big lung capacity. range from low F to high Bb. I'm looking for something like a bass line fake book with cool riffs in it.

Tony--This might be a little advanced, but you might check out The Honking Horns collection by Richard Fox in the UK (Foxy Dots Music). The tuba books have baselines and horn line backing tracks, as well as demo tracks. He also has some great transcriptions on his website.

Also, Harry Salotti has two volumes of 200 songs (each) arranged for tuba/bass trombone, available at Sheet Music Plus. The songs are diverse (no pop though), and might be of interest.
