If you're looking for something to make your tuba apartment-friendly, I HIGHLY recommend looking into Schlipf mutes. I bought my first one over ten years ago from Lee Stofer at the Army Tuba Conference and I consider it one of the best investments I ever made. Buddy Rogers Music in Ohio is the main retailer for them. If you call them, ask for Chris Hite and tell him Tyler Ferris says hi lol
