I am in the market for buying a tuba and Schmitt Music is holding a selection event next month. I'm curious on what they have had in the past. I'm looking for a CC tuba, 5v 4p+1r. The Eastman 632 and 832 are looking like good options. Do they usually have other brands and models there? This year they state, "we have secured a special selection of aged, used, demo, and refurbished instruments that will be priced significantly lower than our standard Selection Event pricing."
I'm thinking this will be the best opportunity. What price ranges should I expect and look for other models. I'm trying to spend under $8k up front, unless there's financing available.
