Hello,
I’m toying with the idea of selling my MRPC. I won a military band audition in my home country and they own an Eastman York I’m able to use if I’d like.
It’s the silver plated rotor version. 5 months old. I’m the only owner. One dent on the bottom bow while traveling through Zurich. No other scratches or dents. It hasn’t been played recently because I’ve been using the band’s Eastman.
I will sell the tuba with a lightly used Accord Case (the flight to the audition and the flight back…).
I’m not in a tremendous rush, but it’d be nice to put the sale from this towards a house.
$19,500 (we’ll start here…)
New (undented…) - $17,597 + 6% tax (lowest tax % between Baltimore and Jacksonville where you can order these tubas in the U.S. In Europe it’s more expensive.) = $18,652.82
Accord Case - 2.106 € sale price from Croatia = ~ $2,470 (I forget if I payed any VAT on this…)
Total replacement cost (minus presumed shipping) = $21,122.82
I wouldn’t mind thinking about selling the case separately, but we will see.
I will clean the tuba and take pictures and upload them soon.
MRPC Tuba, Silver (and Accord Case) - $19,500
