Hi everyone,
I am looking to trade my PT-8 F tuba for a piston F (Petrushka, Gronitz PF125, etc.) or a Miraphone Elektra/Firebird/Bel Canto (always wanted to own one of these). It has several modifications done by Martin Wilk when it was previously owned by Matt Gaunt out of Chicago. Here are some details:
- de-lacquered bell, reversed leg on main tuning slide, bracing change near the main tuning slide, textured valve paddles, 2nd valve kicker added for tuning (all shown in attached pictures)
This horn plays wonderfully, has an excellent high register, and more openness than typical in its lower range. Horn has been regularly cleaned and maintained and comes with a miraphone gig bag (pictured). I love this horn with its beautiful sound and it has served me well over the 3 years I've owned it, just looking to change things up and possibly match my CC tuba sound a bit more.
