Here's some more info about the two instruments. The tuba is located in Shreveport, LA and is available for trial. I would be willing to weet anyone halfway, if you are within a day's drive. I can ship, but you are responsible for shipping charges. I'll even let you try it for a week if you provide a check for the full amount for me to hold.
The 2165 is really unique for its model. It plays very similar to a Hirsbrunner HB2P and sounds closer to a York style instrument than any other 2165 I've heard. The response is unreal for a 6/4 tuba. Its in overall good shape. The bell has been rolled out and the tone ring removed (you can tell where the solder was buffed off). Other than that, it has no dents. Only the ocassional surface dings. The leadpipe was also lowered a bit for comfort. You would hard pressed to find a better playing and ergonomic 2165.

I will entertain offers of a trade for a 5/4 CC tuba. Tubas I'm considering are: Willson 3050S, PT6, and similar tubas.

Serial Number

Tubaman-

I wish I could buy either of the horns you've got for sale. Just can't afford 'em right now.

I'm curious though as to the Serial Number of the Miraphone. Care to share?
