Meinl Weston 2182

Post by ThomasP »

Is the model of 2182 that is seen in the advertisements featuring Velvet Brown commonly available? Is that plating style the standard as far as silver plating is concerned with this model of tuba, or is this special order and the common silver plate horn is just plain silver?

The 2182 is a great horn indeed, and I know that Velvet loves it to death as I do mine. I think that they only made her horn and two others as far as I know with the silver and gold trimmings. As far as the plating goes I know that Mr. Fedderly recently had a few that were completely silver, and some lacquer. If your interested in one it is probably best to contact Mr. Fedderly at Baltimore Brass. He can set you up with whatever you are looking for. Hope this helps! -Aaron Tindall
