Any suggestions for tuba quartet music with a Halloween theme?

Great topic! (I am looking, too.)

So far, I have acquired arrangements of "Funeral March of the Marionette", and "In the Hall of the Mountain King".

Toccata and Fugue in D minor

In the Hall of the Mountain King

Both of the above are available at Cimarron Music (http://www.cimarronmusic.com/).

Some others I can think, but I am not sure they have been arranged for Tuba Quartet:

Sorcerer's Apprentice
Danse Macabre
March to the Scaffold (there is a larger Tuba ensembe version from Shawnee Press)

I don't know if it's been arranged, but The Monster Mash might be nice. Also Puttin' On The Ritz from Young Frankenstein...

Hi Mark,

In 1991 the Navy Tuba Euphonium Quartet came to the school I went to for my undergraduate degree. If I remember correctly they played some stuff like "The Adams Family" theme, "Toccata and Fugue", "Monster Mash" (I think), "The Munster's" theme and a bunch of other cool stuff.

It's been a while since then, and I don't remember all of the exact pieces, and I certainly don't know if any of them are published.

Members of the group at that time were Roger Behrend, Keith Mehlan (who I think did most of the arranging), David Miles, Andy Carlson (subbed for Marty Erickson on tuba), and Marty Erickson MC'd. A fantastic group!

You may or may not know that Keith sadly passed away quite some time ago. But one of the other individuals may know where to get the music.

I hope this helps.

Mike

With the right arrangement, you'd have them rolling in the aisles with The Tubist's Apprentice (and NO appologies to Donald Trump OR Martha Stewart... )
