I have recently transfered schools and was assigned a tuba. Neither of my mouthpieces fit correctly in the horn. THey both have shanks slightly too skinny making the mps sit too far into the reciever. Both these mps are Regular shank size, so what size shank do I need?
Thanks
Amy
What shank size?

What brand and model horn is it? The solution may vary based on your answer. Certain European horns have larger receivers than the "standard" American size, and there are mouthpieces that come with this "European" shank that would fit better.
