I apologize for any inconvenience we caused you, Charlie, but I don't feel this is really necessary. I'll admit I am clueless concerning sales, but this is truly the first time I have purchased an instrument from anyone other than a music store, so you can understand my desire to be overly cautious. You can understand my "paranoia", since I asked about having the instrument sent for a trial run, and you declined since you didn't know me. We both know there are untrustworthy people in the world.
Furthermore, while your original posting is dated early July, I did not express an interest in the instrument until late July, so it has not been almost two months as you claim.
I apologize that my father has been less than civil with you, but it is my understanding that your message to him was rather harsh as well. Also, I don't want his response to reflect on me, since my correspondance with you has been nothing but civil.
If you want to drop the sale, fine, but I feel that flaming me on Tubenet is
vindictive, and I don't feel my ignorance of business should reflect on my character.

Charlie, your complaint would carry more weight if you displayed ALL the emails in BOTH directions, rather than just the climax. Asking people to judge him based upon his response, without seeing what he was responding to, seems quite unfair to me.CJ Krause wrote:... this is the email i get from the Dad, supposedly a Supt of Schools since 72....

IB4TL?
Charlie, your email was somewhat insulting. While the response was not warranted, you really should not be suprised.
Regardless of how the transaction went, you should have spelled out your parameters for doing business in nothing less than the most professional manner with all intentions being clear. You email is evidence that you fell short of that. That is what prompted the response.
Ultimately, you still have then instrument and are able to post it for sale again. While there was time lost, I'm sure it wasn't that much in retrospect.
Kudos to the kid for putting together a well thought out reply.
Edit:
Oh, and guess what?

Without regard to the ending... I think threads of this nature should not be allowed. This one (and the related threads) should be deleted. There is no good ending to this thread as long as the title remains.
