Hello fellow tubetters,
I play on an older Conn Helleberg 7b mp althougth the mp predates the whole 7b/S days. I also use a Kellyberg mp that I really like the wider rim and slightly deeper cup depth of yet I am not that big a fan of the lexan what is the closest thing I can get to the kellyberg but in metal form not Lexan?
Is the kellyberg a copy of the new Conn S Helleberg?
On a different matter do any of you guys notice when using the kelly mp's that spit builds up in the cup and not into the horn ie:the water begins to pool at the bottlom of my mp then drips out when I stop playing? I do not know if this is just the design of the mp or the way I hold the horn but it really irritates me quite a bit lol, makes me want to burn the kellyberg. I also use a Dillon G3, B&S 52 an old Rudolf Meinl piece and a yamaha 67c4 yet none of these have the problem of the spit build up only the kellyberg, any of you guys know what i'm talking about?
thanks for any info.
A few MP?

Probably a 7b than no markings on the cup other than Conn Helleberg. Purchased in 98' No clue how long the previous owner had it before I purchased it. It is definetly a Smaller mp then the kellyberg.Lew wrote:The Kellyberg that I have seems to be a very close copy of the standard Conn Helleberg, also known as the 120, NOT the 7b. If yours is truely a 7b it will be smaller than a Kellyberg.
