Mac Recording Software

I have a Sony MD recorder that I have been using with my old PC. I've recently sent the PC off to die and have bought a top of the line iMac. Now I need some new software for creating wave files to burn some brass quintet demo CD's, etc. Can anyone offer any suggestions on what to buy?

http://audacity.sourceforge.net

it's a free multitrack recorder, works well.
