Street bands aint gonna be in the union... nor is much that is non-commercial.
Street bands in NYC are now usually so-called "Balkan" bands... ha ha. (be them Balkan or not) The faux-gypsy thing is a big (and sometimes fun) thing here for the minute. There are a couple of good ones and like 20000 bad ones.
Snuffy knows of probably the best one in town. If you dont hear from him, drop me a line.
