Dear All,
I have just finished re-typesetting David Werden's "Good Cheer Collection". Yes all 800 measures!!
I decided to post the first piece "Joy to the World" as a free download from the Cimarron Music Press website:
http://www.cimarronmusic.com
Go to the bottom of the homepage and type:
Werden in the arranger space or
Good in the piece space or
103 in the catalog number space or
or bring up all the Tuba Quartets and you will find it in the list!
If you are interested in the rest of the set, for $45.00 it includes:
1. Joy to the World
2. Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella
3. On The Day EarthShall Ring
4. Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming
5. Oh, Come All Ye Faithful

Very clean, but a few things wrong here and there (notes, slurs, dynamics, etc.). Each piece was also a separate Finale file which made it difficult to print. The previous was owner photocopying much of the music and this was not an issue. We laser print everything now and with one file it makes it much easier to deal with.Chuck(G) wrote:Brian, what was wrong with the original? I thought they were very clean.
We have decided to re-engrave all of the pieces in the Cimarron catalog as we run out of them. Good Cheer happened to come up in the last week or so. I believe we have gotton through almost 250 titles so far. Re-engraving includes:
better looking notation
proper page turns when needed
standard format for the publications
fix wrong notes and/or other issues with pieces
etc.
As we get through the re-engraving process, samples will be posted to our website. I will probably be posting many more .pdf files this week.
I want to thank eveyone for their patience and support!!! It has been much appreciated!

One more followup to CHuck's question:
Re-engraving the music also allows us to make the pieces available digitally.
If anyone is interested, the Good Cheer Collection it just got posted for digital download here:

If anyone has any thoughts on digital sheet music vs. printed, I would love to hear about it! We will always offer printed copies, but digital is a way for us to make the music available in places we may never have imagined. There are a few other tuba quartets posted on the site above with many more to come.
