I read a lot of indie and alternative comics, anything by Warren Ellis, Neil Gaiman, James Kochalka, or Alan Moore, and some hero books like Dr. Strange, Tom Strong and a bit of Daredevil. I like a lot of graphic novel stuff, Watchmen and Bone and Road to Perdition. As far as comics still circulating, I follow 1602, Tom Strong and the odd miniseries like Secret Skull.

It's funny to hear you mention James Kochalka. He and James Sturm are two of my daughter's instructors at the Center for Cartoon Studies. I had never heard of them before she told me about them. They seem like good guys from my interactions.Charlie Goodman wrote:I read a lot of indie and alternative comics, anything by Warren Ellis, Neil Gaiman, James Kochalka, or Alan Moore, and some hero books like Dr. Strange, Tom Strong and a bit of Daredevil.
