Rap music, we've only got one song that I think you can call rap. We play Crazy in Love. I would not mind hearing some marching band versions of rap.

We are playing I Like The Way You Move by Outkast in our shwo this year. It starts with a tuba soli!! besides that.....the tuba part is really boring. My favorite song in the show this year is Land of Make Believe by Chuck Mangione. We have a weird combo as far as our show goes. It's the theme from shaft, zoot suit riot, I like the way you move, then land of make believe

Um, this year we played Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl, which was cool if only in that the crowd loved it, and few other bands played stuff like it.
Last year, my tuba quartet went and played for the second euphonium's school band, and afterward we all played with the pep band. It was kind of cool having a couple kids with 1291s sitting around outblowing a section of sousaphones on the standard pep band repertoire (Hey Baby, Eye of the Tiger, etc.). I'm not claiming to be very loud: the other tuba player was outblowing them by himself anyway.
